Our Challenge: Our physician offices were looking for help to lessen the work-load of our receptionists. They were too distracted answering phones and making appointments to efficiently greet and checkout patients visiting the practice. Our own success was overburdening the front desk staff and limiting the attention they could spend with patients.
Our Solution: One year ago, the Kensington and White Oak/Silver Spring Divisions of FASMA retained Intelligent Office’s Remote Receptionists to answer and direct all calls and schedule patients. We have also utilized Intelligent Office's conference room space for multiple group-training sessions and we were totally impressed with the congeniality of all of IO's employees, the space and IT options at their facility available for our needs.
Working with the Intelligent Office has benefited our staff as well as our patients. Transferring calls to IO has freed the front desk to offer the concierge-style care to patients, in our office, giving them the attention they deserve. Our in-office staff is more productive and focused on patient care. Also, with the multiple receptionists present, at IO, to answer our calls, patients calling our office are rarely put on hold making us look that much better! While we have not really saved money, there is a "value-added" benefit that IO offers by taking the burden off our receptionists, which ultimately leads to happier staff and better patient care.
